The most eagerly anticipated moment of the year for Alfa Romeo has arrived with the announcement that the new Giulia will be available to order in all markets throughout the EMEA area from the 15th April.

In a worldwide preview, visitors at the Geneva Motor Show had the opportunity to admire four versions of the new model, representing the extensive range available. The range consists of three trim levels (Giulia, Super and Quadrifoglio) and has six new engines which include a 150 and 180 HP 2.2-litre diesel with six speed manual or 8 speed automatic transmission, 200 HP 2.0-litre 8 speed automatic transmission and 510 HP 2.9-litre V6 BiTurbo petrol engine with 6 speed transmission.

Alfa Romeo Giulia

The new Giulia boasts a distinctively Italian design and features impeccable proportion, simplicity and a high quality finish putting the driver right at the centre.

Securing high performance, astounding fun and exhilarating drive as well as being a technical solution is the vehicles rear-wheel drive which is a simple tribute to the infamous Alfa Romeo Legend.Another highlight of the new Giulia is the optimal weight distribution across the two axles, the sophisticated suspension system and the most direct steering in the market segment. Adding further appeal is the vehicle’s first-class weight-to-power ratio thanks to its extraordinary engine performance and ample use of ultra light materials.

In keeping with Alfa Romeo tradition, the new Giulia offers unique technical solutions with more innovative features such as Integrated Brake System to considerably reduce braking distance, and active suspension for exceptional comfort. Also exclusive to the Quadrifoglio version is Torque Vectoring technology.

New Giulietta and New Mito

Spotlights at the show were also on the new Giulietta and Mito, the two restyled models which have an obvious family connection with the Giulia, as can be seen in the new nose that features an unprecedented grille and the legendary trefoil nose, arguably one of the most famous and recognisable symbols in the automotive world.

Powering the new Giulietta is a 120 HP 1.6-litre JTDm turbo diesel engine which is paired with the innovative Alfa TCT automatic transmission.High specifications of the Giulietta include new sports bumpers with red inserts, polished anthracite finish, glass roof, Brembo braking system with red brake callipers and new 18-inch burnished alloy wheels.

The new Mito also made its debut on the Alfa Romeo stand with a host of enhanced features, while still maintaining its position as a small sport car capable of winning over customers attracted by its Italian styling and technical excellence, for complete driving satisfaction.

The new Giulietta is on sale now across the main European markets while the new Mito will be available across Italy and France from June, and thereafter in other countries.

4C Coupe and 4C Spider

Also sharing the limelight was the enchanting Alfa Romeo 4C, in Coupe and Spider versions. A modern icon of the brand the 4C represents the sports soul written into Alfa Romeo DNA which includes optimum performance and excellent engineering designed for ultimate pleasure and to drive in first-class style.

Both cars are equipped with the powerful all-aluminium direct injection engine with dual continuous variable valve timing providing performance levels comparable to those of a supercar, with a top speed of 160mph and a 0-62mph acceleration time of just 4.5 seconds.

The supercar spirit can also be seen in the choice of ultra light materials used: carbon fibre for the shell, aluminium for the front and rear chassis framework and SMC for the bodywork.
