Compact, nimble and quick, the Abarth 595 Turismo has Italian style in abundance and considerable power beneath the bonnet. This zippy little car offers a lot of kick and is now available at our Sturgess Abarth showroom.
Adapted from the Fiat 500, the Abarth 595 Turismo retains the quirky charm of the original vehicle and adds a sporty vibe. The vehicles front-end is adorned by the red and yellow scorpion badge that represents the marque. Powerful Xenon headlights and front fog lamps enhance the look of the vehicle, while the flank is distinguished by 17-inch ten-spoke alloy wheels encased in 205/40 R17 tyres. Body-coloured door mirrors are heated and electrically-adjustable. At the back of the vehicle, Abarth has fitted a chromed steel rear twin exhausts and a rear spoiler. The heated rear window comes with a time-saving wash-and-wipe function. Body-coloured bumpers add a subtle touch, while tinted glass brings an extra level of style to the vehicle. The Turismo is available in Officina Red, while Podium Blue, Gara White and a trio of greys are available as optional extras.
Abarth leather-clad sports seats provide both elegance and comfort and are available in black, grey or natural leather, with red as an option. A leather-trimmed steering wheel features remote controls that let you keep your hands on the wheel when using the car’s audio equipment. The driver’s seat is also height-adjustable, so that you can find your best driving position, and the passenger seat comes with a mechanical memory function. Aluminium-glass characterises the gear knob, pedals and footrest, and floor mats have been designed especially for the Turismo. You can expand the 183-litre boot by folding down the 50/50 split rear seats.
A 1.4-litre petrol engine delivers 158bhp and a maximum torque of 230Nm at 3,000rpm. Five-speed manual transmission comes as standard, with the option to upgrade to an automated manual transmission gearbox. This upgrade enables you to get more out of the vehicle and achieve quicker gear transitions. The Turismo can go from 0-60mph in approximately 7.5 seconds and is capable of a top speed of 130mph. The punchy engine is still surprisingly cost-effective to run, with as much as 48.7mpg achievable, while CO2 emissions are as low as 139g/km.
Fiat’s Blue&Me infotainment system provides Bluetooth connectivity with USB and AUX ports. So you can stream and plug-and-play with your compatible devices. The Turismo also features a radio and a CD and MP3 player as standard.
An electrochromic mirror reacts to the glare of headlights by automatically darkening to reduce glare. A rear-parking sensor helps you to manoeuvre the Turismo into tight spaces with ease. Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution keeps you in control of the vehicle on difficult terrains while Electronic Stability Programme with Anti-Slip Regulation prevents wheel spin by minimising engine torque. Tyre Pressure Monitoring System alerts you if tyre air pressure reduces significantly.
