Suzuki exhibits concept cars at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show

Suzuki Motors has announced their exhibits from the 44th Tokyo Motor Show 2015 which will open to the public on the 30th of October until the 8th November.

Making sure not to disappoint, the concepts Suzuki offer deliver an array of wonder and enjoyment for drivers and riders alike. The concept cars included in the exhibit will be: the Mighty Deck, the the Air Triser, the Ignis and the Baleno.

The Mighty Deck is a new, fun mini car that stretches just 133 inches from bumper to bumper, 57 inches from side to side and 60 inches tall.

An ‘urban/outdoor’ concept has been embodied within the mighty deck as it comes with an automatic raise/lower function in order to accommodate a diverse range of lifestyle situations.

Power comes from a turbocharged three-cylinder engine but full technical and performance specifications have not been announced yet.

Air Triser

The Air Triser is a three-row compact minivan with manageable body dimensions. It offers a roomy cabin with a unique and smart seating arrangement to emphasise the concept of a private lounge.

While the Air Triser is parked, the seats can be configured into two different modes – ‘relaxation’ where the seats face each other and ‘lounge mode’ where the seats form a U-shape sofa. In addition to this, users can also connect any smart-device to the large format display that extends from one of the B-Pillars to the roof.

Its powered by a 1,372cc inline 4-cylinder, dual-jet engine with five speed transmission that sends power to all four wheels.

The Ignis is a compact crossover which offers versatility for daily life and leisure. The high eye point and plenty of ground clearance ensure day to day convenience whilst also allowing for confident driving in different weather conditions and road terrain. Visually, the car offers a striking appearance on the outside whilst maintaining a simple, practical interior design inside.

Suzuki will also show an off-road-inspired version of the Ignis. Named the Trail Concept, the car features large diameter wheels, bold wheel-arch mouldings and body classing to heighten the compact-crossover and highlight its outdoor credentials.

The Baleno is a stylish all-new B-segment hatchback with refined performance, fuel economy and practicality.

The Baleno has ample space with comfort for 4 adults as well as a luggage space that boats 355 litres. The new model is packed with safety and technology features making it desirable in its class.

The power train range includes the newly developed 1.0-litre direct-injection, turbocharged BOOSTERJET engine as well as the 1.2-litre DUALJET engine. It has been confirmed that the Baleno will be on sale in the UK from early next summer.
