Hyundai Motor has today unveiled the first images of the New Generation Hyundai i20, ahead of its official debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
The previous generation i20 is one of Hyundai's best-selling cars, and so this new model aims to improve on its success. Features will include class-leading interior space, a range of advanced technology, more comfort, and a distinctive, more refined design.
The New Generation Hyundai has been based on a new platform, with a 2570mm wheelbase – 45mm longer than its predecessor. This will give the new model an incredibly spacious cabin that can comfortably seat five adults, with legroom of 1892mm.
The boot on the new model will also be much bigger, with a class-leading 326 litres when the rear seats are upright.
New optional features include a panoramic sunroof, which can both tilt and fully open to fill the cabin with light and fresh air. New features for the i20 include an integrated rear-view camera and front and rear LED lighting. The interior will also be more refined, with a cleaner and simpler design.
At the back, the New Generation i20 features a gloss-finished black C-pillar, with lamp clusters that wrap around the rear wing into the boot lid.
The New Generation Hyundai i20 will be officially unveiled during Hyundai's press conference at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in Hall 3 at 16:00 CET on Thursday 2nd October.
