Hyundai has revealed the full price and spec details for the highly anticipated New Generation i20, will be better than ever when it's released next year!
A lower, longer and wider body makes the New Generation i20 bigger as well as better and gives it a sleek, elegant appearance. The size increases continue in the boot, with a variable floor that can be adjusted to hold up to 326 litres, creating ample storage space!
The New Generation i20 offers an impressive selection of equipment as standard across the range, starting with the base model i20 S, which comes with electric front windows, remote central locking, tinted windows, and a RDS radio with USB and AUX connection. Prefer to listen to your own music? No problem, as the My Music function allows you to store and play up to 1GB of your favourite tracks!
Manual Air Conditioning is added to the S Air, while the S Blue offers Intelligent Stop and Go and low rolling resistance tyres, improving fuel economy.
The i20 SE model is even more kitted out, adding 16" alloy wheels, voice activated Bluetooth, Cruise Control with speed limiter, front fog lights, Lane Departure Warning System, and Rear Parking Sensors to help you park!
The Premium model goes one step further and adds a Smartphone Docking Station, automatic dimming rear view mirror, automatic headlights and wipers, Climate Control, cornering lights, LED daytime running lights and rear lights, projection headlamps and privacy glass.
At the top of the range, the Premium SE offers Front Parking Sensors, heated front seats and steering wheel, and a panoramic glass sunroof that can be opened when the weather calls for it!
There's a strong choice of engines available across the range too, starting with the i20 S and S Air, both powered by a 1.2-litre 75hp Kappa petrol engine that emits only 112g/km of CO2.
The S Blue will be offered with a 1.1-litre CRDi 75hp diesel engine, and is also available on the i20 SE model, producing CO2 emissions of just 84g/km!
There is a larger choice of engines available for the SE, Premium and Premium SE models. The 1.4-litre 90hp diesel engine produces equally impressive CO2 emissions of only 106g/km, while petrol options include the 1.2-litre 84hp engine, which emits just 119g/km of CO2. A 1.4-litre 100hp engine completes the line-up and is available with manual or automatic transmission. The manual gearbox produces as little as 127g/km of CO2, whilst the automatic emits just 155g/km.
There are a lot of changes to New Generation i20, but it still offers the same high standards of safety that we've come to expect from Hyundai. To start with, the use of Ultra High Strength Steel has made for a more rigid chassis, which in turn has improved handling and reduced noise, vibration, and harshness.
Safety is improved even further by a massive selection of standard equipment to make your life easier, including 6 airbags, Hill Start Assist Control, Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Stability Programme, Vehicle Stability Management, Emergency Stop Signal, and Tyre Pressure Monitoring.
The New Generation i20 enters showrooms in January 2015, with prices starting from £10,695 for the i20 S. Visit our dealership in Leicester or contact us using the buttons below.
