All-New Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio

The All-New Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio has arrived

The All-New Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio high performance saloon made its recent debut at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt. The first of a new generation, the New Giulia is in a league of its own with lightweight advanced technologies, class-leading emissions, a 2.9-litre V6 twin-turbo engine with 520 horsepower developed in collaboration with Ferrari and rear-wheel drive.

The state-of-the-art innovative six-cylinder turbo engine worked by engineers with Ferrari background is at the heart of the new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. This premium engine delivers 510 HP and a torque in excess of 600 Nm, as well as a top speed of 191mph and a 0-62mph time of just 3.9 seconds. However, even with its impressive speed the exceptional aluminium covered cylinder engine is also best-in-class in terms of emission levels at just 198g/km, providing excellent aerodynamics.

The long bonnet, short overhangs, muscular haunches and the longest wheelbase in its class are based around the technical design of the entire car with 50/50 weight balance and rear wheel drive. At the front, the new Giulia Quadrifoglio acquires a new double wishbone suspension with semi-virtual speeding axis, guaranteeing rapid, accurate steering. The new model also introduces an advanced multi-link set up, with electronically-controlled Torque Vectoring on the rear and a new Integrated Brake System (IBS) which has resulted in a stopping distance from 62mph of just 32 metres.

Chassis Domain Control (CDC) controls all of the Giulia's advanced systems, acting like the car's 'brains' and co-ordinating all of the on-board electronics. Using the unique Alfa DNA Pro, users can manage the actions of the various features and can choose from four driving configurations: Dynamic, Natural, Advanced Efficiency and Race (on high performance versions).

The premium attention to detail carries on with the interior offering a perfect blend of quality, safety, equipment and comfort. With the driver in mind, all main controls, including the start button are incorporated into the steering wheel. The connect 3D Nav of Alfa Romeo Giulia offers a number of features and functions, including next-generation HMI (human-machine interface). This nifty Nav is mainly controlled by a Rotary Pad but it can also be controlled via a superior voice recognition system and a gesture recognition system. In addition, the machine is compatible with all mobile devices and the navigation system employs high-resolution 3D TomTom maps and Dead Reckoning technology for areas with poor GPS reception.

UK sales for the all-new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio will begin in Autumn 2016 with pricing to be announced at a later date.
