VOLVO S60 AND V60 WIN BEST PREMIUM CAR OF THE YEAR AT THE FLEET NEWS AWARDS 2014

The Volvo S60 and V60 models have been awarded Best Premium Car of the Year 2014 by leading business sales publication Fleet News.

The award recognised Volvo's new range of more fuel efficient engines, as well as its high quality, reliable premium cars. The efficiency of its 'Designed Around You and Your Business' fleet solutions was also a key factor in winning the award, beating the Audi A4 and A5 and the BMW 3-Series.

The new Volvo V60 features an all-new D4 diesel engine that emits a class-leading 99g/km of CO2 emissions and produces 181hp, making it a compelling choice for company car users. The new D4 engine will also be available for the V40 later this year, providing business customers with even more choice.

In addition, Volvo was shortlisted in two further categories, for New Company Car of the Year with the S60 and V60 models and Best Crossover with the XC60.

The Fleet News Awards is now in its 26 th year and recognises the best people, companies and vehicles in the fleet industry. Over 1,500 guests gathered in Grosvenor House in London for one of the most important award ceremonies in the fleet industry, held on 19th March 2014.

Selwyn Cooper, Head of Business Sales for Volvo Car UK, commented: “We're delighted to have won this Fleet News award, which serves to underscore Volvo's commitment to providing great cars and user experiences to our business customers. With our new D4 engine, we have one of our strongest model line-ups to date for 2014 and we look forward to building on this success."
