The premium car maker Volvo have made a partnership with the world’s largest technology company Google, where the will work together on developing a next-generation in-car infotainment and connectivity system that is to launch in new Volvo models within the next two years.
This next-generation move promises to revolutionise how Volvo customers engage and interact with their cars, as the infotainment system will offer access to a wide range of apps and services.
“We are making an important strategic step with the Google partnership. Google’s platform and services will enhance the user experience by enabling more personalisation possibilities, while Android will offer increased flexibility from a development perspective,” Henrik Green, Senior Vice President Research & Development at Volvo Car Group.
Further information about what is to come will be announced at Google’s annual tech show in May.
