The Suzuki Ignis will arrive in our Leicester showroom in 2017, with unique styling and two lively yet frugal engines.
The Ignis evokes Suzuki’s heritage, with design cues that draw inspiration from the 1970s SC 100 ‘Whizzkid’ coupé. The chunky, angular design also conveys the car’s off-road credentials – the model will be available with two or four-wheel drive. The prominent wheel arches and muscular bodywork give the Ignis a sporty and imposing stance, while details such as LED daytime running lights and chrome trim add a touch of class.
The Ignis is designed to be practical, with a streamlined layout, ergonomic controls and a capacious boot. The retro look of the exterior will continue inside with bright contrasting colour trims. Suzuki models are known for offering value for money through the provision of high levels of standard equipment and the Ignis is likely to continue this trend.
Designed to perform
Buyers will be able to specify two or four-wheel drive, tailoring the Ignis to their lifestyle. The engine range will include two naturally aspirated 1.0-litre petrol engines and a turbocharged 1.0-litre Boosterjet unit which is more powerful. The most frugal option is likely to be a 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine, which returns up to 78.5mpg and emits just 84g/km of CO2 when fitted in the Celerio.
