Sturgess Motor Group Expansion

We are delighted to announce that we have  concluded the acquisition of Bond Street Select, the Anstey based used car business.

Sturgess, founded in 1897 and still in family ownership, have historically operated within the boundaries of the City of Leicester so the move into Anstey is their first move into the County.

“Over the years, we have had an eye for organic expansion,” says Company Chairman Chris Sturgess, “but the right opportunity has never really presented itself. Bond Street Select is a well established, professional operation that will fit well within our business and we are all extremely excited by this acquisition and the possibilities it presents.”

Sturgess will be investing heavily in their new Anstey site in readiness for a new franchise to go live early January 2012. This means that the people of Anstey and surrounding areas will not have far to travel to look for their next brand new car.

“With the new brand partnership that we will launch in Anstey in January, we will be able to offer the people of north Leicestershire a new car choice in the intimate surroundings of one of Leicestershire’s most pleasant areas,” said Mr. Sturgess. 

The well established used car business, along with all makes servicing and repair, MoT and Mini, Smart and Kia specialisation will be enhanced with a wider selection of available used cars, a specialist Mini used car centre, wider vehicle funding choices and a large selection of vehicle accessories.

The business will operate as usual during the refurbishment period and the current Bond Street Select staff will continue to offer the same high levels of customer service.
