Land Rover continues to celebrate the Discovery's 25 th anniversary by allowing customers to add striking features from the XXV Special Edition Discovery anniversary model revealed earlier this year. This will allow customers to bring that level of heightened luxury to their Discovery of choice.
Land Rover's in-car technology will also receive a boost with the introduction of Land Rover InControl Apps. This complements the Discovery's current infotainment system and provides ultimate in-car connectivity.
XXV Special Edition Discovery enhancements
Available enhancements from the XXV Special Edition Discovery include new body colours: Aruba, Kaikoura Stone, Montalcino Red and Yulong (metallic white). The body can be enhanced with new 20"5-spoke forged alloy wheels with a light silver polished finish.
Inside, the distinct Ebony and Cirrus Dual-tone Windsor leather seats and the Grand Black Lacquer wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel. A new Straight Grained Walnut wood and leather steering wheel is also now available, to further enhance the interior.
These enhancements are available to order on the Discovery now, with customer deliveries starting from September.
Land Rover InControl Apps
Land Rover InControl Apps will enable safe and efficient access to essential smartphone content and in-car apps from your Land Rover's touchscreen, keeping the original look and feel of the app.
Set-up is simple – just download Land Rover InControl apps to your smartphone from either the Apple App store (for iPhone 5 and later) or Google Play (for Android 4.0 and later). When your smartphone is connected to your Land Rover's dedicated USB port, you simply tap the InControl Apps icon on the vehicle's central touchscreen and select the desired vehicle-compatible ap from the menu.
Compatible apps currently include Stitcher, Glympse, Sygic, Parkopedia, Hotelseeker, Cityseeker, Eventseeker, News on Board and MobileDay, with the range being continually expanded and updated.
