No matter the conditions, the selection of four-cylinder turbocharged petrol and turbodiesel engines will help you get there. All feature stop-start technology, high-pressure direct injection, low-friction internal components and smart regenerative charging for outstanding performance and economy. The 4-cylinder Si4 2.0-litre petrol engine has either 240hp or 290hp output options to provide the ultimate driving experience, maximising efficiency, performance and fuel economy. Diesel options are available with 150hp, 180hp or 240hp.
The new Discovery Sport is available with a range of advanced safety features, such as Blind Spot Monitor, Park Assist, Land Keep Assist and Driver Condition Monitor, Adaptive Cruise Control and Queue Assist. Other features include Autonomous Emergency Braking, which uses cameras to detect potential collisions and can break automatically if warnings aren't acted upon and Surround Camera System, which uses cameras to help with various manoeuvres from parking by a kerb and getting in and out of a space, to towing.
The cabin is beautifully furnished in double-stitched leather and available in a range of colour schemes, including Ebony, Cirrus, Glacier, Ivory, Almond and Tan. Other design features include a choice of seven alloy wheel designs, front and rear undershields, full panoramic roof, and the option of stainless-steel sports pedals. There's also the option of 'The Black Pack', which includes gloss-black grille, bonnet and tailgate lettering and a choice of 19" or 20" alloy wheels.The interior is deceptively spacious too, despite its compact size. The flexible 5+2 style seating is fully adjustable and can fit between four and seven passengers, offering up to 1011mm of legroom and a 1698-litre load space that rivals that of a Range Rover when the seats are flattened or offering a loadspace of 194 litres with all 7 seats up and 981 litres with just the 5 seat option.
The Discovery Sport features an all-new premium infotainment system, with an 8-inch touchscreen display and 800x480 pixel resolution for simple use. It allows drivers to monitor and control a wide range of functions by dragging, scrolling or swiping content, just as they might on a smartphone.The home screen provides easy access to the Meridian audio system, climate, telephone and navigation functions, while users can swipe to an additional two screens to access a range of other functions, including WiFi hotspots, 360° Surround Camera System, 4x4i and Wade Sensing™ off-road displays, Eco Data and ambient lighting.
