Jaguar Daytime Running Lights

All new cars sold within the EU are now fitted with Daytime Running Lights (DRL) as part of their standard specification. This follows progressive introduction of daytime illumination on cars throughout Europe and beyond since it’s inception in Sweden, where it has been a requirement since 1977.  

We are pleased to inform you that having researched the available products on offer, we can install a DRL system to your Jaguar XF. 

The advantages of DRL are obviously higher daytime visibility and as it is a fully automated system, you do not need to think about when to switch them on or off. They illuminate with the engine running, extinguish when the car’s headlights are turned on or the ignition is switched off and whilst they are in operation, they do not activate the rear lights or the dashboard lights. On the XF system, you have the option of having the lamps illuminated at a reduced output when working in conjunction with the side and headlights. 

The XF DRL system fits neatly into the vents located in the front bumper and the lighting unit is incorporated into the chrome blade within the lower vent.  

We have taken the liberty of enclosing a small leaflet that illustrates the DRL system on a XF. We have kits available and can be fitted while you wait.
