An international jury panel of 26 motoring journalists, from 26 different European countries have voted the Fiat Tipo as “Autobest 2016.”
The panel awarded the car an overall score of 1492 points, which covered thirteen different areas including design, comfort, running cost-effectiveness, driveability, price, service network, spare parts distribution, versatility and buy-back value. In general, a car must be the best buy for most European customers in order to take the title.
Particularly highlighted for the Tipo was its excellent value for money, which is a key concept in the strategy of the Fiat functional family. The judges were also highly impressed with its design, engines, perceived quality, comfort, versatility and brilliant price-to-quality ratio, resulting in the vehicle claiming top place.
Fiat is the only brand to have won the prestigious title no fewer than three times with the Panda in 2003, the Linea in 2008 and now with the Fiat Tipo.
