Alfa Romeo has announced they will be building on the
popular MiTo range with the addition of two new models, the Progression and the
Junior. The new models will feature advances in exterior design, performance
enhancements as well as a revamped interior.
These two new models make the range even more affordable than before, without sacrificing Alfa Romeo's legendary style and driving experience.
The Progression is the new entry point to the Alfa Romeo range, yet comes with the standard equipment features you would expect to find on a premium hatchback. Air conditioning, leather steering wheel and gear shift and Alfa Romeo's Uconnect five-inch colour touch screen infotainment system all come as standard and the extensive list of safety features include Vehicle Dynamic Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring and seven airbags.
Visually the MiTo Progression looks fantastic, with its 15-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler, and titanium grey headlight and rear surrounds giving the car a unique sporty look.
The standard model comes with a 78hp 1.40-litre engine with Start&Stop technology and EU certification, meaning that the official fuel economy figure is 50.4mpg and emits just 130g/km of CO2. Able to reach 103mph with a 0-60mph time of just 13 seconds the MiTo Progression certainly packs plenty of punch for such an insurance-friendly car.
Prices for this model begin from just £13,770 OTR!
The MiTo Junior is inspired by the Alfa Romeo GT 1300 Junior from 1966, which combined stunning looks with a small engine for lower road tax – and the new 2015 Junior is no different!
Adding to the improvements made to the Progression model, the Junior comes with 17-inch alloy wheels in a distinctive white finish, front fog lights, rear sports bumper and satin-effect door handles with matching head-lamp and tail-lamp surrounds. The interior features a special Junior upholstery, Junior floor mats and a sports steering wheel.
The MiTo Junior features the 0.9-litre TwinAir 105hp Turbo petrol engine and will reach speeds of up to 114mph with a 0-60mph time of just 11.4 seconds. Prices start from just £14,870 OTR for the standard model.
