The facelifted MiTo made its debut at 2016’s Geneva Motor Show. The latest iteration of Alfa Romeo’s acclaimed supermini blends Italian automotive sophistication with widespread appeal. Available in five trim levels, ranging from Progression to Collezione, the MiTo has something for everyone.
The latest MiTo sports a revamped front-end that echoes that of the Giulia. An upper front grille features the distinctive inverted pyramid design, now incorporating striking black mesh. Titanium Grey surrounds further enhance attractive front and rear LED lights, and the three-door MiTo comes with 15-inch alloy wheels as standard. Body-coloured elements include electrically adjustable and heated wing mirrors, while badging and lettering on the vehicle have been updated.
A range of engine choices include a 0.9-litre 105bhp two-cylinder petrol unit and three 1.4-litre variants producing 78bhp, 140bhp and 170bhp. The latter two are paired with automatic transmission, while every other engine is mated with a manual gearbox. Diesel alternatives include a 1.3-litre 85bhp option and a 1.6-litre 120bhp alternative.
A 500-watt Bose sound system features an eight-channel digital amplifier and delivers a rich audio experience. Bluetooth®, USB and Aux connectivity is also included. A Uconnect infotainment system offers multimedia services and functionality, including voice recognition technology, and comes with a five-inch colour touchscreen display.
Among the MiTo’s driver aids are a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Anti-lock Braking System, Brake Assist, Hill-Holder and Electronic Q2 limited-slip differential. Passive safety features include seven airbags, anti-whiplash devices on each seat, double pre-tensioners on front seatbelts and a collapsible steering wheel.
