Natural heir of its 2008 predecessor, the all-new Abarth 595 aims to please with impressive performance, innovative technology and of course iconic Italian style. Available as hatchback or convertible, the new Abarth 595 is offered in three trim level: 595, 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione, and three power levels to satisfy the increasing requirements of competent customers.
Outside, the new Abarth 595 introduces many new features which have helped improve performance. One example is in the front end which has been redesigned and now has an oversized air intake, resulting in improved heat management in the engine and increased cooling capacity.
Abarth engineers have also worked their magic on the rear bumper creating a more pronounced diffuser. Specific bumper inserts have also been created for each trim level to add that little extra touch.
There are an impressive 15 body colours to choose from including pastel, metallic and tri-coat paints along with five bi-colour liveries. For extra personalisation there are three customisation packs available.
Inside, the Abarth 595 has been completely revamped with new technical materials and upholstery for the entire range.
In particular, the 595 version offers specific Abarth fabric seats characterised by first-class lateral support. The 595 Turismo comes with black, natural or red leather seats, while standard on the 595 Competizione are the Corsa by Sabelt seats.
A new flat bottom steering wheel with centre detailing has been designed to ensure effective sporty driving and the iconic dashboard fascia has been specifically characterised for each version. All three trim levels are equipped with Uconnect 5-inch DAB Radio with touchscreen and Uconnect Live services as standard with a built-in navigator available on request.
One of the best highlights for the new Abarth 595 and Turismo versions is the increased power of the 1.4 T-jet engine. The first delivers 145 HP and 206 Nm of peak torque, while the second reaches 165 HP and 230 Nm. For those who really want a thrill the 180 HP 595 Competizione will be more than appropriate in terms of performance and technical features.
As standard, all variants of the 1.4 T-jet engine are paired with a mechanical five-speed gearbox but they can be fitted with an Abarth robotised sequential gearbox with shift paddles if desired.
The new Abarth 595 is the only car in its segment to fit an exclusive mechanical limited-slip differential, for outstanding performance.
The mechanical limited-slip differential improves traction in extreme conditions, ensuring adequate torque transfer between the front wheels when either has less grip.
Koni FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) rear shock absorbers are fitted as standard on the 595 Turismo and Competizione which optimise the driving experience and safety by improving road-hold, handling and stability. The Abarth 595 is also fitted with a Sport button to change different parameters of the car.
